Revit Hybrid Online Training Series

Class Description:

This class will provide an overview of the complete set of tools available in the Hydratec for Revit software to allow the student to immediately start using Revit to create sprinkler plans. By utilizing a familiar AutoCAD background as the start of this process the student will be able to focus on what’s new and exciting in sprinkler design using Revit before learning the intricacies of the full Revit environment.

This hands-on class will walk the student through the complete process of creating a sprinkler model (including sprinklers, pipes, fittings, valves, hangers and seismic braces) and subsequently calculating it, listing it and creating a complete set of submittal plans for it.

A strong focus of this class is to enable the student to complete their very next project using these tools.

Training Includes:

  • 1 live one hour preparation session
  • 3 live 3 hour on-line sessions
  • 2 additional live sessions for further Revit immersion plus Q&A
  • Access to every recording for each session
  • Reviewed homework assignment following the 3-day class
  • Live hands-on opportunity to model a simple sprinkler system in Revit on top of an AutoCAD background (No Revit experience required) with the addition of the actual Revit model for an expanded BIM experience

Recommended Prerequisites:

  • Autodesk Revit software (No Revit experience required)
  • Some sprinkler design experience
  • Basic understanding NFPA standards necessary to apply the lessons
  • HydraCAD for AutoCAD (or equivalent) experience including Calculations & Listing
  • A prompt specific plan to use the new tools

Training Objectives:

  • This class will prepare the student to:
    • Link an AutoCAD background into your Revit sprinkler model
    • Layout a Simple Sprinkler System including:
      • Layout of sprinklers and branch lines

      • Layout of automatic sprinkler riser, feed main and cross main piping

      • Automated methods for connecting branch lines to cross mains

    • Derive the Hydraulic Calculations automatically from the Sprinkler Model
    • Derive the complete Fabrication List automatically from the Sprinkler Model
    • Produce a complete set of submittal and installation plans

Training Schedule:

  • 1 Hour Kickoff Session
    • 1 Session in week 1

  • 5 x Three Hour Sessions
    • 3 Sessions in week 2

    • 1 Session in week 3

    • 1 Session in week 4

Pricing

  • First Registered Student - $1,000 USD
  • Additional Registered Students - $500 USD/student
  • Additional Viewers - Free!

* Class fee must be prepaid before the class start date.

The registered student will receive a certificate of completion at the end of classes based on active participation. There is no limit to the number of viewers from each company.

Additional students from the same company can register for the same training series for $500 each and will receive a certificate of completion and graded homework.
